A True Inspiration

For the next 15 or so days, me and a couple other girls are going on a fast for our dear friend, Chelsea. She was diagnosed with CRPS, which is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I am not 100% sure what it is exactly, I am pretty sure it is injury to nerves and it messes with her arm and now has moved up into her shoulder, but I also know it made our friend move away from K-State for this semester and I am not ok with that. ;) I also know that Chelsea is one of the strongest people you will ever be fortunate enough to know. She is in such pain, but if you were to talk to her, you would never know it! She has really given this to God and by showing that, it is such a testimony to everyone! She has the best attitude of anyone who is struggling with something like this. She just got put on a gluten free, sugar free and dairy free diet, so a couple of us are fasting from one of those things in support of her. Chelsea, if you read this, thank you for being such an inspiration to everyone! You are truly amazing and I am so truly lucky that I get to call you my friend! Love you girl!

I think this verse fits you perfectly my friend:
Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
(That is exactly what you are! Strong AND courageous!)

Giving this a try...

So, I am not good at taking compliments at all. I am truly working on it, but it is really really hard for me. So, if you have ever told me a compliment and I tried saying something against it, I am here to say, "Thank you!" Also, I have some of my attempted photography on my facebook and a lot of people have said that they like them and quite a few have messaged me and asked if I had a website, so, I am going to give this website thing a try... =) If you would like to visit it, here is the address: http://www.wix.com/ericamae2008/ema-photography
We'll see where this goes... =)
Thanks again for the comments. (I am really trying!)

Dear Spring, Where are you!?

Today it is so sunny and beautiful out today! It makes me want to yell, YAY JESUS! =) I know that is odd, but it is amazing what he does! It also makes me miss spring so much! I am really over snow. =) No joke!Like it says in Psalm 118:24, "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Today, that is for sure what we should do! Here are some pictures to help you make that decision =)

Girl Time!

So, since the men are all of at Men's Advance this weekend, and since it was Erika's birthday today, a couple of us girls went over to the Sapp's house with Cake, flowers and Chick Flicks! (Not a huge fan of chick flicks, but I decided I could bear it through it for this occasion) So, we cut some cake, and watched Little Women. It was wonderful! There was laughter, and some tears, but most of all, relaxation! That was the best. =) I made a rainbow layer cake for Erika's birthday and I was so excited how it turned out! Here are some pictures / steps on how to make it if you would like!

Step One:
Get 2 boxes of White cake mix and blend
Step Two:
Just like the cupcakes, separate the colors into bowls (about 1.5 cups of batter into each bowl)
Step Three:
Put the Cake batter into 9 in round cake pans
Step Four: Bake the cakes for about 18 min. each and then let cool

Step Five:
When the cakes are completely cool, cover each cake with a layer of frosting
The finished product (minus frosting on the outside) should look like this =)
Step Six:
Cover the cake with whatever frosting you want! I did Strawberry because I heard it was her favorite =)

Nate got her beautiful orange daisies and we got her purple mini daisies (I don't really know the name, so they will be called that)
The cake on the inside! I was super pumped! =)
So so pretty! =)
Also, so pretty! Happy Birthday Erika! You are a true blessing to me and I am honored to know you!

Enjoy!
